The third annual Beat The Cold Winter Triathlon is completely virtual and will feature two race options for you to complete between February 5th and 15th.  

 

NOTE: When racing, please adhere to the provincial COVID-19 guidelines in place at the time of the race.

Race kit pick-up

This year's race kit and fundraising prizes will be available for pick-up after February 15th. Date and time TBD. ​

Race Option 1: Challenge the Course

In option 1, you’ll be challenging our original triathlon course at the River Trails at The Forks. The start line, finish line, and turn around points will all be marked with Beat The Cold signs and the course will be available on Strava. 

 

Because this year’s race is happening over the course of 10 days, you’ll have plenty of time to complete the triathlon whenever it works with your schedule, which will also maximize social distancing. 

The original sports and distances stay the same: a 5km run, 5km bike, and 5km skate. 

Race Option 2: Challenge your Course

For option 2, you can create your own course with your choice of sports and location!

Whichever route you decide to take, your course must have 3 distinct legs. There is no minimum distance, but just make sure you have 3 race legs. 

 

Choose at least two winter sports you love. You can skate, ski, snowshoe, toboggan, or even roll a snowball uphill. It’s up to you, so get creative with it!
